Our HSSE policy ensures all relevant operations and activities are conducted in line with best practices in a safe, secure and environmental friendly manner.

To support the aims in the Commitment and Policy, the SUNLINK HSSE & SP Control Framework is a single source for requirements for managing the impacts of our operations and projects on society and the environment.

The Golden Rules

The Golden Rules are about changing how we act. They are three rules that give a framework for how we must all behave all of the time, in every operation and activity, if we are to achieve further improvement in our HSSE performance.

COVID-19 Policy

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, interns and, others regarding policies related to expected behaviours within the office premises, all visitors. Strict adherence to this policy must be maintained at all times.

Policy on Covid-19 

Overview 

The Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19), also known as the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), was first noticed in December 2019 in Wuhan, China and has killed 673,279 thousand people in the world as at July 31. 

This virus is transmitted through droplets, mainly during coughing or sneezing and contact with surfaces the droplets have landed on. 

Mild symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough and shortness of breath while severe symptoms are pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome. There is no reliable way to know if a person is infected unless a test is carried out to determine the person’s status. 

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety of all Sunlink Petroleum staff and ensure that our office is a safe environment from COVID-19. 

Scope 

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, interns and, others regarding policies related to expected behaviours within the office premises, all visitors. Strict adherence to this policy must be maintained at all times. 

 

Policy

Use of Facemask 

  • The use of a facemask by all employees and third parties around the office premises is compulsory. 
  • The facemask must always be worn properly, and you are not allowed to put the mask on your chin or on your neck.
  • Ensure that you wear a clean facemask always. A facemask should not be used more than once before washing or disposing. 

 

Hand Washing and Sanitizer

  • Ensure that you wash your hands, for 20 seconds, every hour during your stay in the office. 
  • Ensure that you always have an alcohol-based sanitizer with you. 

 

Social Distance 

  • Entry to the office is only permitted after you have had your temperature checked, hand washed with soap and water thoroughly and worn your face mask properly. 
  • It is expected that a maximum of 4 people must be in any office enclosure at a time. 
  • You should maintain social distance of 2 meters when conversing with your colleagues.
  • All meetings comprising more than 4 people should be done using Microsoft Teams.
  • Turns should be taken to use the kitchen. Only 4 persons can be there at a time.
  • Food breaks should be taken at different times. Not more than 4 people should use the dining at a time.
  • No visitors should be allowed into the office unless necessary and they must adhere to all safety protocols before they enter the office premises.
  • Hand shaking, hugs and all other physical contact are forbidden within the office premises. 

 

Surfaces and Doorknobs 

  • The cleaning personnel must wipe down all frequently touched surfaces and doorknobs with alcohol-based wipes every hour. 
  • All doors should be left open to reduce the touching of doorknobs. 

 

Health Check 

  • If you think you have a fever or feel sick, stay at home and get yourself checked at a medical facility. 
  • If you have a headache, cough or runny nose, stay at home and get yourself checked at a medical facility.
  • Call the Safety Champions – 08074043327, 08063613047, 08098003878, if you notice any hygiene violations or concerns. 

 

Enforcement 

Please note that violation of this policy will lead to disciplinary action which may include suspension or termination of employment. 

Whistleblowing Policy

We uphold our commitment to  professionalism and accountability, we have dedicated channels for confidential and anonymous reporting of unethical, illegal or inappropriate events within the Company.

Anti-corruption Policy

The purpose of this policy is to reinforce the Company’s business principle of zero tolerance to bribery and corruption by providing a framework to guard and promote the Company’s reputation for integrity and responsibility.

FIGHTING CORRUPT PRACTICES

SUNLINK does not tolerate bribery, insider dealing, market abuse, fraud or money laundering. Facilitation payments are bribes and must not be paid. You must also avoid any real or potential conflict of interest (or the appearance of a conflict) and never offer or accept inappropriate gifts or hospitality.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

We do not offer, pay, make, seek or accept a personal payment, gift or favour in return for favourable treatment or to gain any business advantage. We adhere strictly to the anti-bribery and corruption laws that we are subject to, both those of the countries we are operating in, and those which apply outside the country whose laws they are (for example, the UK and US). Our employees are liable to disciplinary action, dismissal, legal proceedings and possibly imprisonment if  involved in bribery and corruption.
